Sidetracking - Images of Sibu

At the Sibu wharf, a tug boat is moored for the evening, while anglers try their luck nearby.

With the cooling river breeze, the Sibu wharf is a popular spot for anglers, especially in the late afternoon when the heat of the day had subsided somewhat.

This modernistic building is in fact a traditonal wet market! The Sibu Central Market is perhaps the largest market of its kind in Malaysia.

This pagoda is an established icon for Sibu only in the last decade or so. It is actually an annex to the more established Tua Pek Kong Temple of Sbu

A row of old shophouses opposite the Sibu wharf and near the bus terminal. As there are many out-of-town people around this area, many taxis gather to pick up passengers
